New stuff

I just did changing at the desks layout in my cubicle last Saturday, and something tickled my mind after that.
I saw the way I have arrayed the desks is quite inspirative, it imbued me to locate some greenery on my little shelf at my right side. I have spacious space now. One of the printer has been shifted to the new girl's table.
As the aftermath of the new idea, I got myself a small pot of red cactus and another bla bla bla leaves (blame it on my lack knowledge of the names of plants).
Have placed these 2 lovely pots into a plastic bag and I will lug them to office tomorrow morning! Another new week with new comers! :)

Outbound trip (part II)

Soon after a handful of games, we embarked for the lunch at sugar cane stall in the city. We were all famishing after the long hard laugh before.
After the food, we took the chance to stop off at Taman Lumbini. Have seen many ppl uploaded the pictures of this lately built temple on FB in this recent month. The design of the temple was known as Thai temple, the detailed engraving is as well remarkable. It is located not too far away from the visitors' default sugar cane stall in Brastagi.

I was mesmerized by the beautifully carved door leaf. Very detailed motif indeed.



Spent approximately 2 hrs in the temple before heading back to town. Dense traffic along the way back was like a long snake, it was enough to have my back and ass sore until tomorrow morning.
Reached Medan at ard 9pm-ish. Joined the clique for dinner at a Javanese restaurant. Good food and good taste, but I was too exhausted to order any other menu tat evening. Hence, a pretty huge bowl of beef ribs soup to share with a friend and one piece of fried chicken with damn spicy sambal on it would be more than excellent!!

The outbound trip at Brastagi

I joined an outbound trip at Brastagi 2 weeks ago.
Can say that I was fairly enjoy the atmosphere and the weather, we were then plonked into a few games.
A good laugh for us all to have a few pairs of legs dashing here and there when playing the games. And I only knew that I was retarded and lame in playing games. Phew..

The main target of bunch of ppl there was actually to get these 5 may-gyvers a huge secret prank. This community address that the birthday prank is a mandatory. They have many creative notions to make the birthday pranks always work.

Guess what?
The hurdle was hard and tough. It was a giant size lighted candle they need to look after during the way from front yard to backyard. 5 of them plus 3 volunteers, in the end they still lose to us! LOL..

We had a good laugh during those hours. An impressing way to prank the birthday guys.

Gift for mom

Someone sweet pleaded for my help to get mom a gift for her birthday on his behalf.
So I went to grab a pendant for her, a sweet pendant.. And mom is more than happy with it :)

The birthdays

A couple of birthday commemorations were in May.
Although one preceded the other, the younger bro and mom still share the same month for birthday. It has been a year since bro discharged from the hospital.
There was no huge celebration, just a simple dinner at home will do :)

Last 2 days, May the nineteenth is mom's born day. It was a normal weekday with no major festivity as well. I offered to bring the birthday cake home, but mom dismissed and told me to procrastinate the idea as we have plethora of food sitting at dining room tat day.
So the fruit cake was just here to make a birthday complete by today.
Happy birthday to mama, wish your life is filled with tons of happy times!

I'm back!

I know that I have been missing for quite some times. For sure, I was not slacking off.
The workload is still the same, and the same pressure is still lingering over me.
Well, I'll try my very best to squeeze out time from my hectic days to jot down my overdue ramblings here.
Hereunder is the outline of my overdue-ramblings :)

* The bro's birthday on 07th of May'11.
* 15th of May'11 : Joined the gang and had outbound activities. A fruitful trip in Brastagi.

* 17th of May : Hopped over to Lake Toba with a newbie who is coming all the way from Tokyo. A trip full of shrieks.

Work load

Couldn't say that I've spent a blithe day today. I created errors in my work, which is the serious and vital case.
Feel ashamed and really regretful...
This period is tough for me, I supposed having to maintain my performance for years to come.
Finding myself is under pressure now and without any conscious, I always put myself under some unknown fear as well.
Mistake is still a mistake with all its consequences.
Talked to the dearest regarding this issue and being fully aware that I have to rearrange my working system. I'm bad. Sigh~~

Sumatra Coffee Luwak

I'm not a coffee person, but can say that Coffee Luwak did leave a good impression on me. I dare not to sip for more than 3 gulps of it, as I don't wish to be wakeful during the night. I ever experienced such thing in the past. Gladly to say that coffee luwak that the friend whipped for us was quite good. This is special and very pricey coffee. The most encouraging thing was I successfully slumbered the night away, good thing!
Bumped into him after many years since I left the former company where I worked for 3 years. He used to be our colleague and now he comprehends almost everything a coffee entrepreneur should.

Work life

A month has passed since my promotion to Export-Import Manager. It's been kind of rough adjusting to the responsibilities. Inevitably, boredom and feeling like hell intermittently bothered me during this one month. To be honest, I adequately love my work. For the time being, there's never any huge fuss from the people who work around me, I'm thankful for that. The inconvenience has gradually been brushed off. The 3rd boss who used to show the gloomy face has now turned back to normal. The condition is controllable now, and I'm now having those days when I still can see the bright sky when leaving my desk. Haha..
My new girl has joined the company for 3 weeks. Due to lack of time, she was not maximally trained by me during this period. But I'm pretty pleased with her work although I still have to supervised in all her work for the whole time. Yet, she has helped much during her probation period.

The recent updates on the new house

Since the parents decided on which contractor to go with for the new house, there's not a single step I've taken to experience the progress of the refurbishment. All the information I should learn about the progress is from the little sis, she is quite ardent in doing so.
The contractor reckoned within a few more months we will be able to move in. I bet the whole family are enthusiastic in preparing the upcoming CNY at new place. Mom mentioned that a simple house warming will be hosted sometime after we shifted in. I remember vividly when we settled the house moving back at 1998, the euphoria of having a new place and the love of being in new surrounding were fun.
Last Sunday, the parents went to examine and started to contemplate which tile to use in the dining room, in the kitchen and in the toilet. Its not an easy chore to evaluate and to take care of all of them by our own selves.
Hereunder is the rough sketch of the new house. I love it, and of course we love it!

I'm still happily alive!

Happy good Friday, world! I'm doing nothing than slacking away at home for the entire day. Woke up at 1pm and fell into deep snore again at 3pm. Oh, dear! Wat a lazy soul I am today!
Having tremendous stress due to a couple of major life changes recently, I have bunches of new tasks. The new girl hasn't helped much yet. I understand I have to be more patient, to train a new comer with nil experience in my purview is not as easy as reversing the palm of the hand. I sometimes become intolerance when having to deal with those mountain high documents. 20 days have passed, and I don't think I have showed any achievement to the management. Phew..

Heavenly food that led me to terrible cough

Had a gathering dinner with the colleagues and ex-superior last Saturday. Noone beat the colleague's idea to dine at the said eatery, this place was a new spot for me. I heard quite several good reviews on this place, but never have the opportunity to step the foot there in the past. The orders were placed by them who ever dined at there. I shud fess that they didnt recommend the wrong place. I squealed in excitement and make a little announcement to my buddies about this place. The very next day after the post above, I was there again with another bunch of buddies. They like it as well! As the verdict : After 2 days of continuous visits to the new eatery, I fell sick. My body temperature hit 39.3 celcius the day after. As for now, the fever has subsided, only the bad cough still persist..

Cured the stress disease

One fine Sunday, where I put all my hopes for a little peace and quite from the usual hustle bustle of my daily mundane. I always not willing to sleep before 12am every weekend. Weekend is the day for me to frolic to my heart's content. I napped, I watched tv, I went online on internet and finally slugged to bed at 3.30am. My pillow and bolster are my bestest buddies during my long sleeping hour. Got the friends' bbm at about noon time, so there were me and the ladies at Tea Garden Resto and Cafe for luncheon. This place is not new for us, we need not to spend much time to place the orders. Here is a couple of my mainstay food items : Creamy corn crab soup and 1 piece of egg tart. These 2 items could satiate my craving for good food. The friend ordered a portion of fried radish cake and it tasted amazing! Since her mommy was conversing with the other, we were playing with my Nikon. One small girl, thousands of expressions... :)

New hair cut

It has been a week since I had my new haircut. The hairdresser was too engrossed with my thick and long hair since I haven't visited him for more than 7 months. After he finished, I peered on the floor and big surprise to me that he has cut more than two thirds of my hair off!! Its too much!!!!!
I whined to him. Sigh..
Few days post haircut, I found it easy to maintain the shape of the hair as long as I have the time to do the babyliss on it. That's why I seriously need to wake up another 10 mins earlier every morning to avoid appearing late in office.

Meeting baby Meredith

Had my first catch up session with baby Meredith last year in KL when she was still in mommy's womb. Just about a year has flied away since my first meeting with her, the mommy included her into the itinerary tis year. Coming back to mommy's home town for tomb sweeping day. I was and still are stalking the mommy's FB, and am always tickled by her poses and face expressions on the photos. Tat's why I was ecstatic to have the chance to meet her in flesh! Again, I dear babies a lot :) Sun Plaza was fully packed during weekend. It's definitely not because of the attractive promotions that the resto or cafes offered, but the people just spilled out from nowhere. We have hard time to find non occupied table just for 2 of us, baby Meredith can settle herself well in her stroller. Ultimately we succeed to cope with our hungry stomach after managed to get table at Mr. Pancake. Not too spacious although, and it was seriously a problem where to park the stroller for Meredith. I made the order and get the friend adjusted to my taste. Not too bad, she raved on 2 dishes amidst the 3 that we ordered. The tuna pancake made a good meal for two of us. The most important is she loves it loads! Too bad she said she didn't get attracted to the durian pancake in which I adore so much. Baby Meredith was quite cooperative during our dinner and chit chat, although the mommy still have to keep an eye on her. Can say that she is an easy smiling baby girl. When we ambled through the mall, we stumbled upon another friend which was apparently in town for tomb sweeping day as well. She was with her 2 yo pretty daughter named Felice (if I dun recall wrongly). Felice likes Meredith so much :) Once the meeting was about over, I requested to carry Meredith and asked for the mommy's help to immortalize the moment by taking some snaps of me with the cutie pies. Awwhh, such an adorable baby girl, I definitely like her! *Wondering when I can meet baby Celine in person? hehe..*

Me versus the time

It has been more than a week I have endured the long working hour in office. I stick to my desk and PC until at least 7.30pm, E.V.E.R.Y.D.A.Y. Well, I'm in transition. I need to get rid of many things now but I'm shortage of ppl to help me out. It's hard to do the recruitment. Talk is cheap, action is expensive. Had an interview with two applicants today. The first one has worked for the same company for 9 yrs, in fairly similar purview. The other one has nil experience in such job, thus I need to muster my energy to train her from zero. But I prefer the 2nd one better. The friend was in town last Saturday. Went to Sun Plaza to have a dinner date with her. The limelight tat attracked my attention the most was her cutie pie baby Meredith! PS : Other pictures will be up soon..

Meeting the twins again!

It is reputedly one of the rules that we adopted from more than decades ago. People say that it is taboo to see the newborn within 12 days of it's birth, so we barely made our way to see the newborn twins last Sunday. No need to mention more about it, I were really excited to get my turn to carry one of them! Yay.. I love babies! Heheh.. For the longest period of my life that I ever have, this is the 1st time I encountered boy and girl twins, the first time I had direct interaction with the babies. And they are awfully cute!!! Managed the get their group picture, and one with the papa :) The one with the papa is the baby boy Ryan. He resembles the daddy's face, more than we could elaborate. The babies are the stars of the day. The parents groused that the twins refused to slumber at night and keep fussing around, every single night since the first day they were discharged from hospital. Torturing days for the mommy and daddy. LOL.. Aren't they cute? Aren't they chubby?? No matter how loud the din, they are still snoring away in bed, soundly. The aftermath after doing night duties. Hahaa...

New errand for me

I was fully running a new errand since today. The ex manager has left the company, and I was confronted with the internal turmoil on those few days before she leave. The close friends and dearest have the complete details about the happening. I'm not the one to be accused for this issue. But I have the contrary circumstances now, one or two of the coworkers keep the bad side of me (which was spread by the ex manager to all the community).
I keep telling myself tat I'm working for myself, not working for making the coworkers happy with me.

Long Feng Tai

Went to Stella Marris Hospital with two others 3 days ago, visited the long feng tai babies.
All ppl who take a peek at other babies in babies' room were distracted by these two charming cuties.
They are Ryan as the small brother and Jilly as the big sister who has preceded Ryan by 3 minutes. They are cute! Each weight reached more than 2,800grams and length reached approximately 48cms.
The parents are in full delight to welcome the twin newborns. They have been discharged from hospital yesterday, and I have requested the daddy to whatsapp me the photos of them side by side :)
