An old pal's wedding

Completed the last touch of the dolled up me, I put a pair of new earrings in my ears. A belated birthday gift for me given by a senior colleague. I do like this pair of mine!

Attending a very old pal's wedding dinner yesterday evening. The groom is our old mate, a generous and humble soul in so many ways. He often offers me a ride in any occassions. LOL.
The dining hall had a suave decor and gentle jazz band. The cokctail was served infront of the hall, but I'm no good at drinking. The only snap I managed to put my chubby face in. :p
No photos of the groom and bride as they were not wandering around as the other couples do.

Wedding dinner

I seldom abstain from attending wedding dinners.
I was on the way to the dinner venue when the torrential rain with thunder and lightning occurred.
A friend's wedding reception was held in a 4 stars hotel, it was quite a drama when I received more than 3 text messages appealing for my help to hand the ang paos to the couple on their behalf.
Well, more than 10 invitations distributed by the bride before the event. Due to unforeseen situations came up, merely 3 of us managed to make our way there.
There are 2 names in the list didn't even show their sincerity to the bride.
No calls, no news and no ang pao at all. Hmm.. I blatantly contradict with their idea.

The procrastinated post.

I merely have the time to post about the girl friend's wedding feast at Grand Aston Hotel last Sunday (dated 08th Aug).
One week is still a tolerable time in most cases =p
The evening was considered by all to be a vastly enjoyable evening. The hall was opulently garnished with beautiful combination colors of tosca green and light pink on the stage.
These can all be seen in the assorted photos below.

The grandeur of the dinner was started with the hundred sheets of invitations. We understand perfectly how this couple undergo those previous chapters before aiming the final leap in their courtship. We are literally falling into the radiant zone.

As the ensue of meeting the friends, many chuckles and guffaws were heard among the throng. I am still the old me, manufactured more than 50 shots in 3 hrs time. Some of the friends were getting nausea from being so stressed out with my blitz! hahaha..

We got ourselves dolled up for the dinner. Quite a good buy, 175K for the hairdo and a not-bad-makeup. I was pretty reluctant at first to go for a salon I'd never tried before. The make up artist doesn't seem to meet my expectation, but after all I found out that she did quite excellent work. :) I quickly launched a pose when the bride came approaching our table. It was an honor! The dinner was immaculately closed with the group photos and tonnes of congratulations from the crowd. Congratulations on your wedding and have a blissful marriage!

Having a mini talk

Good morning, world! ;)
Yeah, I'm still here adhering to the screen on this witty hours of the night. Not tat I'm not able to sink back to sleep or being insomniac, but it's just too dear to let this weekend night vanishes without any late sleep. *giggles*

I and the friend were attending a friend's brother wedding dinner last sunday.
Only 5 of us turned up while the rest 10 plus showed non attendance.
The host chortled and uttered tat he has prepped 2 tables for 10 for us.
For me, I mind a lot if people won't come to my party one day.

The junior

He is the limelight of the evening.
We teased him, talked to him and he sheepishly gazed at us. He never talk tactlessly and always very decent in talking.
Bill is eloquent in english and mandarin, utter in english with the papa, and talk cheerfully in mandarin with the mama. But he doesn't like camera.

When I overheard that he was going to toilet with his mama, I stalked him.
And not to no avail, he let me took picture of he and I.
However, I'm gauging how fabulous the pictures will eventually be if I was taking it with his papa. Hahaa..

I exploited my time for almost 3 hours, only for devouring a friend's photo album on FB. It raised my all interest to pose for photographs, cameras, and a garden party. I'm so desperately to know how I will feel if I was there in the Wisteria Lane!
All I can say is WOW...

The grandeur of the dinner

I was part of the grandeur of the dinner tat evening.

It was totally an awe-inspiring wedding dinner I have ever attended. Let me detail out the whole jovial.

Me and other colleagues were at the venue for the tea ceremony session in the morning. I grabbed the chance to spy on their romantic room.

*Those two wooden chairs with the dragon carving was the place where the relatives were obligued to sip on the tea and there were abundance of gifts for the newly wed couples underneath*

They held the wedding dinner reception right on the very same day.

Me and some of the colleagues were partaking in the committee board.

Tis is wat I cited as the "Grandeur".

The bride was performing her wonderful aptitute for piano playing.

And the groom was looking downright to her, but seemed pretty timid in the beginning.

I selected to sit together with the shipping agency boss and managers.

They purposely came far-off from Jakarta to share the gusto with the couple.

Alena was one of those great performers tat evening.

She is a female Indonesian (chinese breed) singer, she is popular with her mandarin songs. Yeah, she aim the mandarin songs as her dexterity. She is vastly pretty in person. Slim and tall.

It vindicated that I am SHORT!!!

She escorted the couple through the aisle, with her mesmerizing voice (bubble effect made the ambience look even more romantic, too bad I didnt capture those sacred moments).

On her 45 mins intermittent show, she succeeded to hypnotize the guests with her amazing voice and tantalizing movement dance at stage.

Everyone heart her performance. (My boss paid IDR. 30million for her 45 min's performance. Is it worth the price?)

Heck!! Tis is the sole capture of me and her. But it came out blur!!

Again... I am tooooo SHORT!!!!

Having been one of the committee's members.

I am hit by the nasty sick virus! Heck!
Awaken from a long nap (8pm-12pm), but I still have my legs numbing (causing me half limping), exploded heachache, a tad runny nose, and..... I cant stand anymore!! I need SLEEP!!

~~ I am not gaining any offending comments, I need onli accolades!! =D

I will be assisting them (at 22nd), with all the well planned preparations or there might need to be some impromptu plans as well. Had the committee's rehearsal today and I'll partake several *not-feasible* duties.

Last touch

Had the evening gown being deposited to my place tis morning.
I opted to lease the gown than to purchase it.
Some of my friends not in the same thought with me. For such an ephemeral occasion, I dun deem to purchase an 800K-1500K evening gown will be more well worth and tactful. I am not gaining any wedding reception tat expect me to be well-groomed and glamorous like tis time.
Bet u understand where and when the gown might have be donned.
Have already placed an appointment with the makeup artist as well. I need to scamper to the dinner venue by 5.30pm. So, 2.30pm is the appropriate timing to start my last touchup.
Too early? makeup will be fading away?

The wedding dinner (AGAIN?)

Was pretty aghasted when one of the ushers manuevered me and directed me towards the VIP table. We were inadvertently being led to be seated there. Wat a proximity to the stage!
In the middle of the stir (horde of guests reached the astronomical figure suddenly), came another usher lady, reconfirmed whether we are the bride or groom's relatives. We are not of course! She then blurted out tat this table was supposed to be the bride's relatives'. VIP mann...!!! Hehee.. (no worry, we were not being shifted.)
