I'm returning after a significant span of time :)
I'm doing quite good, although the running nose hit me hard this morning. Good thing is the soreness in my lovely throat seems to be getting better today, the super tiny morsels of chinese medicine I took yesterday cures the pain much.
Anyway, I just shoveled 3 slices of skippy bread in my mouth this morning and hopefully it doesnt make the throat even worse.
Was on work trip last Saturday and back to hometown on the next Monday. Managed to have sumptuous lunches and dinners in J city with the coworkers and the others. Celebrated xmas beyond the usual time I used to do was fun.
Now, I'm sitting in front of the screen and penned down some words on my blog.
Wish to be able to embed some images here later in the evening to complete my undone blog-post from my previous short trip to Balige.
Bye for now!

Two days trip to Balige City
I have been busying and consequently dun have the time to update my blog.
Visited the young fellow regularly in hospital over the past few weeks and he presented us his big progress on our latest visit last Saturday. Poor Kevin is now able to count the number one to ten with his fingers based on his daddy's voice. Also, according to his mom, he is able to scribble his sis' name, Bella, as well. We are pleased to see such a great response from him. Another surgery to replace the missing skull piece is needed in a couple of months. He needs a lot of time to himself to get through this difficult phase in his life.
On the other note, I wont be able to detach myself from office issues. Dinners with friends were as well explain the hiatus on this site.
Last weekend, the friends and I managed to have a short trip to Balige city, a small, stunning city on where we could overlook the magnificent view of Lake Toba. Have a 6 hrs night journey and we finally stepped our feet on the first spot and waited for the sunrise.
Luckily, we were just punctual. As long as I can remember, this was the first time I evidenced the sunrise over the mountain. That was awesome!

Few minutes after the sun rised over the horizon of Lake Toba, we could see everything more vividly and in much greater detail. One word with 8 letters : F.A.B.U.L.O.U.S!

The hunger hit us after the long trip. Tis cafe is located in front of our hotel and there we had our first meal in Balige. Albeit of the inferior meals served in the cafe, we found the tranquility surrounded by the unspoiled nature there. The real peace of mind where I can have a significant distance with my work stress. I felt blessed!

Lunch after the brekkie was the limelight of the trip.
We were brought to a local cafe which offer the most sumptuous grilled mujair fish with the horribly delicious chili.
As a non local, we visited this cafe twice consecutively in two days during the duration of our stay there.
We can't describe more in details, we just looovee the fish and the sambal!
