Food is flooding into me

Without good chow, good drinks and a bit of fun, such commemoration would not be complete.
Me and the other friends in the gang were requested to attend a birthday feast in Taipan Resto last Wednesday (this post made me realized how much I have neglected my blog).
Fen knows that I was hungering after this mocca cake almost every single day, then she popped out with the idea of gifting the birthday guy the cake. And I was all exhilarated :)
The food was opulent and we really enjoyed the atmosphere.
The whiff of the tea lightened me up. The service was decent and the servers were friendly. Continuous tea replenishing is available.
The orders were brought out in a timely manner and everything was delicious.
Starting from the palatable bean curd as the appetizer.
Good food sure will leave a lingering impression on the mind.
Fried noodle with quail eggs is a mandatory. Corn and crab soup is my forever favourite!
The batter-fried boneless chicken was successfully transmitted into our growling stomach. We were intended to place the 2nd order. It's meat was soft and delicate to the taste.
Cereal prawn. I polished the cereal crumbs off within seconds. How nice the dudes let me did that. LOL.
The waiter told us that this bean curd is their signature dish with its delicious flavour. But I didn't like it, it was not for my liking.
I brought home a pot belly again, again and again...

An impromptu outing

Sunday will never flop me.
I have been sticking to the computer's screen for at least 9hrs or more per day in office, I get no remission albeit it is a Saturday. The energy is always drastically deflated by the edge of the week.

I fell for snuggling on my bed on every Sunday morning. The poor soul is hollering for a thorough rest. Never try your luck to hoot at me and ask me to join the morning walk or a swim, I wont heed you anyway. I love slumbering more than exercising the muscles! Haha..

Late in the afternoon, the friends were coming all the way to fetch me and they didn't point out any specific places, we were just ambling around aimlessly until one of the friends spit out her idea of getting to this newly started cafe. It is not detected in the heart of the city, but located on the brim of the city with no major roads around. We enjoyed a pleasant quiet tea time tat afternoon.

The ambience is cool enough that I think I'd go back anytime at the first few minutes. The whole design is vintage, naturally adapting a Javanese theme.

In my humble opinion, the food served was nothing to shout about but at least not awful either.

Luckily the beverages on which we hope to rely on for the first time was successfully won my expectation. It was a wonderful sexy orange (that was printed on the menu) quenched the thirst perfectly on that hot day!
But I cant tolerate the cat who came approach me asking for food. I was crouching my legs up to avoid direct contact with it's tail. Yikesss!!!

Saying "Hi.."

I'm doing fine.
Feeling quite refreshed from a 2 and half hour power nap. Was tickled to wake up and now sitting daintily in front of PC, playing game and do some routine visits to the other bloggers' site.
My life is never flat, had a fruitful weekend with the gang. Culinary journey is always on the list. I gain weight, this is a severe problem. sigh!

Chit chat after the meal

Very early in the morning, I awoke with a sudden craving for bakso.
It has been quite a few months since my last time devouring on it.
I needed to share my craving with someone though, then I text messaged the friends briskly and got their replies in less than 5 seconds. My fabulous besties! hahaha..

I was flounced when I noticed tat the clock was ticking to 4.30 soon! Completed my work on time, grabbed the bag, stepped in the car and sat down behind the driver at 5.15pm, woohoo..!! It was a beeline along the highway and I reached the eatery more than 30 mins earlier. The friends were still on the way wrestling with the jam. Luckily I have my BB in my grip, so the mind was duly activated around until I saw a soul ambled to my table. He was the not-included-to-my-memory's ex. He glanced at me before walking to the rest room, I know he recognized me, and I reckoned that he knew I recognized him as well. Well, this is exactly not my gist at all. Just merely an interlude!

The friends came after half an hour, we were too engross with what we were all doing. Eating and gossiping!
It was not late yet when we came to the verdict of continuing the chit-chat in a coffee shop. I didnt sip coffee, I'm afraid of being awake the whole night.

A new eatery in town

I got to hobnob with some of the school mates quite often.
Last week we yakked on the bbm-group and decided to call upon the friends (not more than ten) for a simple dinner on Thursday. Due to some minor and major subterfuges from different sources, the dinner date was protracted to two days.
There are initially 8 friends will be coming to join the ruckus (excluding the partners), but only five of those who turned up on the venue kept the promise (including me). I appreciate each date with the friends. I miss the days when a simple dinner could get me occupied for hours at a time. And yet I appreciate to know how to shriek along with the friends. Lovely!

A newly launched eatery in the town captivated our attention.
We selected to be seated on their roof-top terrace. Perfect ambience for a simple dinner.

Base floor with no advantage compared to those on the roof.

Our first time flipping their menu and we were auspicious enough to have a knowledgeable waitress to assist us. She was presentable and communicated very well with us. After a few minutes of discussion, we came to the final decision.

1. Nasi goreng kambing (lamb fried rice), this is my fave!
I swear I have to protect the whole plate and sharing is restricted on my next visit. I rarely consume lamb meat, but this is an exceptional case.

2. Fried chicken with curry leaves.
I munched on the leaves non stop. Love the curry flavor.

3. Potato skin.
Very fragrant and rich in cheese!

4. Tauco Udang.
It went superbly with the fried rice. I love the spiciness and so did the friends.

5. Rib steak.
Not in the standard, the meat was not subtle enough.

6. Pepes ikan.
I like eating fish, but not for this. It seized too much time to pick the bones!

It was a lovely dinner when we have the correct objects around. We always love to reminisce about how the experiences positively affected us, with our each different thoughts in life now, 12 years after the graduation.

The procrastinated post.

I merely have the time to post about the girl friend's wedding feast at Grand Aston Hotel last Sunday (dated 08th Aug).
One week is still a tolerable time in most cases =p
The evening was considered by all to be a vastly enjoyable evening. The hall was opulently garnished with beautiful combination colors of tosca green and light pink on the stage.
These can all be seen in the assorted photos below.

The grandeur of the dinner was started with the hundred sheets of invitations. We understand perfectly how this couple undergo those previous chapters before aiming the final leap in their courtship. We are literally falling into the radiant zone.

As the ensue of meeting the friends, many chuckles and guffaws were heard among the throng. I am still the old me, manufactured more than 50 shots in 3 hrs time. Some of the friends were getting nausea from being so stressed out with my blitz! hahaha..

We got ourselves dolled up for the dinner. Quite a good buy, 175K for the hairdo and a not-bad-makeup. I was pretty reluctant at first to go for a salon I'd never tried before. The make up artist doesn't seem to meet my expectation, but after all I found out that she did quite excellent work. :) I quickly launched a pose when the bride came approaching our table. It was an honor! The dinner was immaculately closed with the group photos and tonnes of congratulations from the crowd. Congratulations on your wedding and have a blissful marriage!

The best friend's wedding

Just back from attending the best folk's wedding dinner.
She is beautiful and charming!
Complete post will be up soon ;)

Wat a busy life!

The friend has been successfully contaminated me with her viruses.
She is a game-player, a very addictive gamer. I know exactly that I never fail to thwart the curiosity of me to get influenced over the games she was talking about and I don't have any inquisitive mind towards all those things before.
But for this time, after several times learning and hearing from her, I started to jump into the website and have a try.

What was the verdict of the trial after then?
I quickly dashed to my PC, turned it on and checked if the cakes were done, how many cakes still need to be cooked, also micro managed on the display cases. My duties were done immaculately as I reached home from meeting gu gu and gu zhang. I started baking before leaving to meet them. I opted for the 4 hours baking time, so I will be in time to reach home and fetch the cakes from the oven. *getting deeply influenced*

Friend, I am busy enough these days with my work....
And you have added another heavy burdens on my shoulder.. BRAVO to you! You did it! LOL..

PS1 : Chatting with gu gu yesterday has got me reminiscing on my good childhood time when I have her around in Indo. I swear I have to visit her in HK someday.

PS2 : I forgot to bring my Nikon along, so the 9700 Bee bee was on duty.

An angel is having a massage

I like this little chap to the max!
See how relax he is with the whole body massage.
A little creature who lived in an immaculate life. How nice..
He has fallen asleep during the massage. Haha.. Cute!
